...I don't know if we were
close
, but... I enjoyed talking to her when I did. And she seemed like a good person.
But... it felt like, no matter what I did to prove myself, there were people who thought it was just a lie, or part of a scheme.
Like it was already decided that I had to have done it because of my profile.
